Copper mould tube/Plate is placed in the heart position of continuous casting machine(CCM),its function is to solidify the liquid steel pouring through the Submerged entry nozzle, guaranteeing required billet/bloom with enough thicken shell to be obtained. Copper mould tube plays a crucial role in increasing con-casting efficiency as well as improving billet quality.

-Anssen Copper mould tube material :
The tough working condition of copper mould tube requires its material with excellent tensile strength, enough hardness, low elongation & good thermal conductivity. After many years experiment in our Lab & steel mills, now we are manufacturing copper mould tube with widely accepted material as : CU-DHP (Phosphorus deoxidized copper), CU-AU0.1(Silver bearing copper) & Copper Chrome Zirconium.

-Anssen plating
The temperature inside the mould is very high, so in order to prevent inside wall from wearing off & eliminating cracks & defects on the billet surface, a chromium plating with an average thickness of 0.08~0.10mm will be required to coat the inside wall.

By introducing western plating technology, Anssen Metallurgy Group has successfully improved the coalescent strength between copper and plating, as a result, life of copper mould has been elongated by 20~30% compared with traditional ways.
